Download Windows 11⚓︎

Tip

Skip this step if you already have the Windows 11 ISO file, or if you have a Windows 11 installation disk.

Create bootable USB⚓︎

  • Get Rufus from here
  • Plugin your USB drive
  • Open Rufus, select the USB drive, and select the Windows 11 ISO file
  • Click Start
  • Exit Rufus when done
  • Open a terminal
  • Run lsblk to list all drives
  • Identify the USB drive
  • Run sudo dd bs=4M if=/path/to/windows11.iso of=/dev/sdX status=progress oflag=sync where /dev/sdX is the USB drive
  • Exit the terminal when done

Install Windows 11⚓︎

  • Plugin the USB drive
  • Boot from the USB drive (usually by pressing F12 or F2 during boot)
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to install Windows 11
  • Skip the product key if you don't have one
  • Choose Windows 11 Pro if the option is available
